This hasn’t changed – even in this time of social distancing. Our staff is working on innovative methods to serve our audience. Government Resources

UW-Madison Extension Responds to COVID-19 (coronavirus)

 

The Centers for Disease Control has information on:

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development implemented an immediate foreclosure and eviction moratorium for single-family homeowners with FHA-insured mortgages for the next 60 days (starting 3/18/2020).

The Federal Housing Finance Agency suspends foreclosures and evections for enterprise-backed mortgages for 60 days (starting 3/18/2020).

Being Homebound with Youth

Knowing when your child is capable of staying home alone and preparing them for the challenges of doing so is not an easy task.  The Extension provides a video series that can help:  Preparing Children for Being Home Alone

Mr. Young’s Adapted Physical Education Youtube Channel is creating videos about how to have PE at home using materials you have on hand. Mr. Jordan Young is an Adapted PE teacher in La Crosse, WI, but his youtube PE videos can be used by anyone.

Storytime Online has videos of professional actors reading picture books with animated illustrations.

Cosmic Kids Yoga is a free youtube channel that combines storytelling with yoga movements for kids 3+ to get their wiggles out or deal with their anxiety.

Farming Resources

The Division of Food and Recreational Safety (DFRS) has discontinued normal inspection activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that new Bulk Milk Weighers and Samplers (BMWS) are able to sample and pick up milk during this period, the division is adopting a modified version of the BMWS licensing process.

DFRS is committed to working with the industry to find new and creative ways to ship milk during this unique time period. Please review the new process that’s now in place:
