UWGB Dietetics Intern

My name is Danielle Collins, and I am a dietetic student at UW-Green Bay in a master’s program called Nutrition and Integrated Health. This program combines a master’s degree and credential of registered dietitian (RD) through supervised practicum. Currently, I am in my community nutrition rotation with the UW-Extension, FoodWIse until July 21, 2023. I am working with Jace Purdy on making nutrition education bulletin boards for the Kewaunee Co. Food Pantry and providing recipes with food items offered at the pantry. I have observed a Strong Bodies class in Algoma and attended a Kewaunee County Agriculture and Extension Education Committee Meeting. As I continue my education, I hope to better understand the different aspects of nutrition for myself to be able to share the most accurate and up to date information with the community. I will share that information and provide healthy ways to implement changes for ourselves and the community.
